Curious Yellowstone Bear Gives Road Trippers a Scare

This is a popular time of year for many road trippers to head to Yellowstone for some wilderness sightseeing and nature observations.

One road trip family from Toronto got quite the scare this past weekend while road tripping through the park. As many other road trippers do, when they spotted some wildlife walking around the park, the family pulled over to the side of the road to observe the grizzly bears walking along the park. What they didn’t expect was for the bear to come right up to their car, and even attempt to climb on top of the car.

We road tripped to Yellowstone last summer, and just like every other road tripper, we were quite excited when we came across wildlife on the roadway. We didn’t have any intentions of getting out of our car due to a fear of being charged at, bears especially.

I continue to be amazed with the amount of tourists that get out of their car to pursue or follow wildlife around the park. Just last month there was a story of a group of tourist who were being chased down the road by a mama bear after one of the tourists got too close to the bear cubs. The video of the incident even shows a park ranger discouraging people from getting out of their car.

Remember that these are wild animals, and they will charge if or when they feel threatened.
