Our Top 5 Blogs of 2014

Happy New Year!

As we welcome in the new year, and start planning new and exciting adventures for 2015, we stop to reflect on our top blogs of 2014.

We want to first thank our readers, and we’re happy to see you’re enjoying our road trip adventures.

Reflecting back on 2014, here are our top blogs of 2014:

1. Getting Scammed in Thailand

This is our top blog of 2014. We’ve recently travelled to Thailand for our honeymoon, and got scammed by a tuk tuk driver. It’s always a good idea to share these sort of stories with other travellers, to help educate them in hopes that this doesn’t happen to others. We’re thankful that the scam really only cost us an extra $3 CDN, but it was frustrating for us to go through. It’s a great read if you’re planning on heading to Thailand anytime soon.

2. 8 Road Trip Mistakes to Avoid

We’ve been road tripping for several years now, and we’ve learned a lot while on the road. In this blog, we share some of our top road trip mistakes to avoid. These are mistakes that we’ve done while on the road, and learned from our mistakes. If you’re planning a road trip, here’s some great tips for you.

3. What Social Media Has Taught Me About Road Tripper

We learned a valuable lesson about road tripping last summer when we chose to get more social while on the road. We took a whiteboard marker and write our Twitter handle on the back of our car. We had people tweeting to us from all across the country. This was a great experience and it thought us some valuable lessons about road tripping.

4. Road Trip: 5 Secrets to Beating the Thanksgiving Traffic

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times of the year for road trippers travelling to meet with family. In this blog post, we provided some great suggestions on how to beat or avoid mega traffic congestions while on the road.

5. 7 Must-See Quirky Attractions in Portland

During the spring, we did a road trip to Portland for my birthday. We spent a few days exploring the town, and searching for fun and offbeat attractions. In this blog, we give a great list of our top quirky attractions that we discovered while in Portland.

We’re looking forward to sharing more road trip adventures with everyone in 2015.
