5 Road Trips We’ll Definitely Do Again

We've had a great run with our road trip adventures, but as we've said before in several of our other blog posts, our road trips are often short on time, with many stops crammed into a very tight schedule. Looking back on the amazing road trips that we've done already, there are several that we would definitely do again.

Today we share with you our list of road trips that we've done before, and would definitely do again:

1. Newfoundland

This was one of our favourite road trips. We made some great travel memories while road tripping Newfoundland, and it’s a beautiful province. The downfall is, we only had 48 hours on the island, but we made it happen anyway. The next time we head to Newfoundland, we’ll hopefully have more time to explore, and we’ll spend some time in the parks up north, and really just enjoy our time there. We sadly didn’t even have time to get screeched-in the last time we were in Newfoundland, so this is a must for our next trip there.

If you’ve never been to Newfoundland, we recommend a visit.

2. Oregon and the Oregon Coast

We’ve driven the Oregon Coast several times, and have spent many summers exploring different parts of Oregon. It’s a beautiful state, with lots to see. I think our next trip; we’ll probably make our way down to Crater Lake, and spend some time in the southern part or the Oregon Coast. We’ve spent some beautiful summers around Cannon Beach, but haven’t really spent much time around the southern part of Oregon. There’s lot to see and explore there, so it’s a must for our next trip.

If you’re thinking of heading to Oregon this summer, mark the Oneonta Gorge on your road trip itinerary. It’s beautiful!

3. Arizona

I can’t seem to get enough of this state. Every time we road trip to Arizona, there’s always something new to explore. We’ve done the Grand Canyon several times, Antelope Canyon and even the London Bridge. The last time we were in Arizona, we spend some time looking for the Hobo Joe roadside attraction, and even went to a hockey game. We’re hoping to make Arizona an annual road trip tradition, and will hopefully see The Wave and Havasu Falls someday.

4. Banff/Jasper

We haven’t spent a lot of time in Banff and Jasper before, it’s mostly been short stops while passing through provinces, but we’re hoping to change that this summer. We’re hoping to explore Yoho National Park, and can’t wait to head back to Lake Louise while in the area. We also had an amazing adventure trekking on a glacier along the Columbia Icefield, but missed some great attractions in Jasper. We plan to spend some time in Banff and Jasper this summer, and will hopefully hit some of the local trails while in town.

5. Western National Parks Road Trip

Last fall we purchased a national parks pass and spent a few weeks road tripping the national parks along the west coast of America. We road tripped through Glacier National Park, Arches National Park, Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Lava Beds National Park, and the Redwood Forest.

We missed some great national parks along the way, and we fell in love with some national parks that we'll hopefully see again; Zion being one of them. We’re planning on heading back to Zion this fall to do the narrows, and are also planning a stopover at a a few of the national parks in southern Utah that we missed last time.

We still have a lot of exploring to do, and can’t wait until our next road trip!

What’s your favourite road trip route that you’d do again?
